Details: The process engineer is responsible for making sure the processes within the departments are running efficiently – parts are produced to the highest quality and throughput is maximized.     The process engineer is expected to know customer and company requirements by reading, interpreting and understanding the necessary specifications and procedures.  It is the process engineer who must make sure that employees (including other departments) are meeting the requirements.   Responsible for documenting the standard work procedures and operating instructions.  The documentation must communicate what is to be performed and how it is to be performed in a simple, easy to follow format. The process engineer, along with the Lead-person, is responsible for training employees on process specifications and standard work.
